Hire AI teammates you can actually trust.
Give each teammate a job, a schedule and scoped access to your tools. They do the work on your own API keys and ask before anything leaves the building.
No credit card. Your keys, your data. Nothing trains on it.
Three steps from a sentence to a teammate on schedule.
- 1
Hire
Describe the job in a sentence. Austerly proposes a teammate with a name, a schedule, the tools it needs and the guardrails it should have.
- 2
Connect
Grant each teammate read or write access per tool. Credentials go in the vault and are handed over only for the duration of a call.
- 3
Approve
Work runs on schedule. Anything that leaves the building lands in your queue with a preview. One tap to approve, edit or reject.
Everything a good hire needs. Nothing a bad one could abuse.
Schedules and triggers
Cron, intervals, webhooks, inbound email or a Slack message. Jobs fire without you and show up on the field as they run.
Approval queue with caps
Every outbound action waits for your yes unless you have set an allow rule. Daily caps per teammate stop a bad day becoming a bad week.
Vault and scoped access
Envelope-encrypted secrets, per-teammate read or write scopes, and an egress allow-list so a teammate can only reach the tools it holds.
An inbox per teammate
ney@yourcompany.austerly.com. Forward it work, let customers reply to it, and see every thread in the run log.
Memory you can inspect
Every fact your squad learns carries the run it came from. Read it, correct it, or tell a teammate to forget it.
Skills, taught once
Show a teammate a task in your browser one time. It writes the procedure, you set the guardrails, and it runs forever.
Start with a job people already delegate.
Each one comes with a proposed teammate, a schedule and the guardrail we recommend. Change any of it.
Built so you never have to borrow a login.
Other AI-teammate tools run on your personal ChatGPT or Claude subscription. Those terms forbid it, and accounts get banned. Austerly runs on API keys you own, logs every dollar, and keeps your credentials out of the model's reach.
| Austerly | The usual approach | |
|---|---|---|
| Model access | Your own API keys, or our pool at cost plus 20% | Your personal ChatGPT or Claude login, against the provider's terms |
| Cost visibility | Tokens and dollars on every run | Unknown until your subscription runs out |
| Compute | One isolated sandbox per teammate | One shared computer per workspace |
| Skills | Open SKILL.md files you can export | Locked inside the product |
| Memory | Inspectable, editable, deletable | A black box |
| Pricing | Free, $29, $99, $249 | $99 or nothing |

Questions
Do I need my own AI subscription?+
No. Bring an API key from Anthropic, OpenAI or Google and pay them directly, or use our metered pool at cost plus 20%. We never ask you to hand over a ChatGPT or Claude login. Those subscriptions forbid third-party automation and accounts get banned for it.
What can a teammate do without asking me?+
Read, research, draft and organise. Anything that leaves the building, such as an email, a message, a payment or a record write, waits in your approval queue unless you have set an explicit allow rule. Every teammate also has a daily cap.
Where do my passwords and API keys live?+
In an encrypted vault scoped to your workspace. Teammates receive a credential only for the duration of a tool call, and it never appears in a conversation or a log.
Can I see what a teammate remembers?+
Yes. Every fact has a source run, and you can edit or delete it from the memory page.
Which tools are supported?+
Twenty native connectors, about thirty official MCP servers, thousands more through Zapier and Composio, and a browser login for anything with a login page and no API.
Can I cancel any time?+
Yes. Monthly plans, no contracts, and a full export of your skills, memory and run logs whenever you want it.
